Service Checklists

So I just got moved to a different unit within my battalion and upon arriving I asked about services and what there procedures were and was eventually told that service checklists are no longer required and none of the packets have them. This is hard for me to wrap my head around as this goes against everything I have ever been taught about conducting a service. Has anyone else seen or heard this?

Also I am in the process of getting my hands on the SOP as nobody really knows where it is lol. Just curious if this really is a thing the big army changed in the last few months. Thanks in advance
