Eyyy, greetings from Wiesbaden, Germany!
So, I've got a MEP831A that's being a bit of a pain. We're in the process of removing the Permanent Magnetic Alternator (PMA), we have the Stator removed, just down to our Rotor which is seized onto the crankshaft pretty tight. We've tried to use a pulley, but everything the pulley is pushing against is just bending or giving to the pressure. My next idea is to thread two bolts into the Stator with a chain attached and slowly apply pressure with a winch or like piece of equipment while the engine is held in place. I wanted to check here, hoping some experts could give me a trick or two on how to accomplish this with more ease before I pull out the big guns.
On hand equipment: SATS, Gen Mech Tool Boxes, LMTV Wrecker, 16 ready to go High Speed Ordnance Troops.
Nearby units have a FRSH I can likely borrow out of if need be.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
